PEANIS guide

unlike its dumb SUV cousin known as the emperor, the thrax is actually a pretty practical and comfortable vehicle for daily use. where it lacks behind on performance, it makes up for it in every other metric and proves to be a strong contender for the price range. like the emperor, it is extremely large, but in contrast, it has basic amenities such as a reasonably accessible trunk and a rear window that the emperor lacks for whatever reason

is it Practical?

compared to the previous chevillon, this is actually quite practical. it has a lack of interior storage compartments but it retains a large, easily accessible trunk and a rear windshield unlike the emperor. a much, much more reasonable design. 4/5

is it Entertaining?

despite it being described as the heaviest car allowed to drive around night city (false! the actual heaviest car appears to be the villefort alvarado herman) it's not horrible around corners, however, make no mistake; it remains pretty damn sluggish. with a 0-60 time of ~9.7 seconds, it is far slower than most normal cars in the game. it also retains a similar length to that of the emperor, but since the car isn't straight up annoying to drive (it has a rear window unlike the emperor), it gets a 2.5/5

is it Alluring?

a little! unlike the emperor, this car retains a particularly interesting design. there are several retro-inspired features such as the little tailfins, the lincoln continental esque hood bulge, and the general unique profile of the car which make it heavily reminiscent of 70s american land yachts. 3/5

is it Nice?

VERY. buttons, dials, switches everywhere that probably do things that make you more comfy. a very fancy looking dashboard, trimmed with some kind of wood. the rear seats not only have an extremely large amount of leg space but have little screens built into the back of the front seats to watch... standard definition content? they appear to be in a 4:3 aspect ratio. weird for, like, 2066. but the fact that it has little screens in the back to begin with emplores me to rate it higher than the emperor. 5/5!!

is it Inexpensive?

the thrax is actually marginally cheaper than the emperor, sitting at around E$34,000. with this money, however, you get a much more practical car than the strange, two-trunked emperor. in most categories it sits near-average or higher, so the bang for your buck is huge. 5/5

is it Swagger?

swagger as fuck. this thing is LONG and looks pretty damn cool. it looks (and feels) like a very expensive car but doesn't make you feel like like the center of attention. the extravagance is definitely toned down but it would not look out of place as the main character's car in a gangster movie and remains super classy so 4/5

PEANIS SCORE: 3.92/5

this sits the thrax a good shot above average. i would absolutely recommend this car

OTHER NOTES

MARKET SEGMENT: LUXURY SEDAN

CLOSEST REAL LIFE EQUIVALENT: '71 - '76 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD 75 - both cars are ginormous luxurious land yachts, and neither are deliberately super flashy. but in both, despite that, the classiness remains insanely obvious due to the sheer size.

MOST VISUALLY SIMILAR REAL LIFE CAR: 5TH GEN IMPERIAL LEBARON - both of these cars share the large grille, large size, and tailfins, although i believe i could replace the imperial with many other 70s land yachts as the thrax takes subtle notes from basically all of them

IDEAL FOR: COOL PARENT OR CHAUFFEUR - as it remains practical, comfortable (especially in the back seats), affordable, and pretty swanky, i think that it would be ideal as a cool car to drive your kids or some random rich guy who paid you around in. kids typically end up in the back seat of the car and rich people like to be chauffeured around. with the rear screen, both the child and the rich guy are destined to have something to do whether that be via yo gabba gabba or jeopardy. with that in mind i believe it is a perfect choice for both
