PEANIS guide

as i am going alphabetically and not including low-volume or hyper-expensive cars, the first car i am reviewing is the Archer Quartz EC-T2 R660.

overall this car is surprisingly fun. i was expecting it to be rather anaemic in terms of performance but not only is it fast in a straight line, it is very grippy and has minimal body roll. unfortunately the car lacks many comforts that a contemporary family car would have, being rather cramped and lacking practicality. frunk has a lot of space though.

is it Practical?

this car isn't particularly practical. it has a glovebox and a reasonably sized frunk for a few groceries. to be fair, this is expected of a compact sports car, however, in the grand scheme of things it's not exactly ideal. 2/5

is it Entertaining?

YES. it is extremely fun to drive. being mid-engined, its able to go around corners rather fast, and it has damn good acceleration. despite only having 220 horsepower, it pulls an impressive 0-60 time of around 4.5 seconds, making it pretty peppy. it weighs only 2,359 pounds, and it shows, as the positive characteristics of its handling and acceleration are very apparent. it also, surprisingly, makes for a very easy and stable car to drive. despite the mid-engined rear-wheel drive layout, you have to try REALLY hard to get it to spin out. 5/5

is it Alluring?

somewhat. the design itself is very reminiscent of the Ford EXP, which isn't exactly a pretty car. the archer, however, is rather nice. the one we have in cyberpunk has somewhat strange visual modifications, but if you take how a stock one looks (like one of the traffic cars) into account, it doesn't stand out too much. you can definitely tell that it's rather sporty, having a pretty aggressive side profile and front fascia. it's a little cute due to its small size, but otherwise, it's not super special. 3/5

is it Nice?

not really. the interior is rather cramped. definitely could be worse, but it lacks amenities such as cupholders and has a very basic interior design, which is not uncommon for smaller purpose-built sports cars. 2/5

is it Inexpensive?

yes! the value you get out of this car, at least as a performance car, is pretty impressive. it sits at around E$31,000, making it a very good entry level sports car. however, the general comfort of the car leaves a lot to be desired, so if you prefer a calmer, quiter ride, there are better options in the price range. 4/5

is it Swagger?

kinda. in-game, it has the same kind of aura around it as a third-generation mustang. it CAN be cool, but they're common and not super unique. it fills the same budget sports car segment as the foxbody did as well, so it's not super prestigious. the production run has been quite long, spanning from 2041-2077, so it also has the same retro coolness as a foxbody even though it remains in production. 3/5

PEANIS SCORE: 3.17/5

this makes it a decent middle of the road car!

OTHER NOTES

MARKET SEGMENT: SPORTS COMPACT

CLOSEST REAL LIFE EQUIVALENT: LOTUS ELISE - being a relatively cheap, nimble, mid-engined sports car, this is likely the closest real life analogue to it.

MOST VISUALLY SIMILAR REAL LIFE CAR: GEN 1 FORD EXP - to my eyes, the Ford EXP has a very similar side profile, especially with the upper half of the car sharing nearly identical body lines.

IDEAL FOR: WEEKEND FUN - as a budget sports car, this car is ideal as a fun, affordable car to bring out while you have free time, similar to that of a miata

i know there is a quartz r275. i didn't notice it when i first made this and may make a future review for it but it would likely be very similar
